There are all kinds of delicious restaurants to be found here in Hammond LA, from seafood and steaks to Mexican dishes and Japanese specialties. As a foodie, I love sharing my most recent finds, long-term favorites, and local dives with friends. After all, sharing is caring and I love to share with you!

1. Mariners Inn
Oh my word, how could we not mention the Mariner’s Inn? I just love the welcoming atmosphere, incredible live music, and downright delicious cocktails. Have I mentioned that the wait staff is amazing? We love Bruce! If you decide to stop by, tell him Erika and the gang sent you!
2. Cate Street Pub and Grub
Cate Street Pub and Grub has got to be one of my newest local haunts! The great food and company brings back happy memories of my days at SLU. Try out some truly amazing food that incorporates an innovative menu and surprising food items. The results? Y-U-M!
3. La Carretta
If you’re in the mood for a little hispanic flair, La Carretta is the restaurant for you! Our kids love the fun-loving atmosphere, with dancing and singing along with the live bands that keep the atmosphere light and casual. The wait staff let the chips and cheese dip run freely – how can you say no to that?!
4. Kirin
This lovely Japanese restaurant has been a local favorite restaurant of ours for many years. I remember when it was just a little place on the corner of Highway 190. In fact, one of our very first dates was in Kirin (aww, happy memories). Times may change and buildings may move, but the rolls in this Hammond restaurant just keep getting better!
5. The Steakhouse
From the service to the food, The Steakhouse is a 10/10 dining experience that brings on the WOW factor! Every date, dinner, and anniversary becomes something to remember with amazing cocktails and an all-out focus on perfection in food presentation. And if you think the plate looks great, just wait until you get to eat it too! Megan and Blake always make us feel right at home, and we know they’d do the same for you.
