FROM START TO FINISH
eNg is trendy but unique. We are focused on professional services that are organized and transparent in all aspects of every project. An open line of communication with each client is our top priority throughout our projects. During your project, we offer one-on-one consultations that can be beneficial for our clients on an educational level and include financial reviews, coordinated bank loan preparations, realtor analyst and a closing attorney if needed for the sale of a home. These meetings build the relationship and trust that is needed for any project.
eNg takes our procurement process seriously. The bidding process with eNg is the longest process. We do not estimate on any line item. All sub-contractors will bid on the house plans as we have drafted them. Any line item where a client choose items there will be an allocation based on the client’s budget and design. All prices are locked in for a 15-day hold from the time of bid. Each client will receive a cost break down once contracts are signed.
We believe in total transparency. That is why we maintain flat-rates with zero hidden fees. For us, it’s more than providing a quality finished product – it’s your vision at an affordable price. Creating a positive, stress-free experience from start to finish also plays a huge role. While each project we complete is unique in its own way, the customer experience and journey remains the same – no matter how big or small your project is.
eNg Core Values:
- Professionalism: We hold ourselves and our team to the highest standard. When we commit to something, we stick with it.
- Trust: Trust between our clients, community, suppliers and sub-contractor is earned and maintained through our professional manner and our positive attitude.
- Innovation: We continuously strive to think outside the box for our clients – whether for cost-saving measures or technological trends that keep us up-to-date and trendy with our designs.

Who We Are
eNg is the newest local, boutique custom home builder. We are a one-stop-shop from start to finish, building custom quality homes at affordable prices on your lot or ours.
What started out as a one-woman show has now grown to consist of a dynamic husband and wife duo, Erika and Garland Hemphill. Erika is eNg’s CEO and Garland serves as eNg’s Superintendent. Together, along with Office Manager Jordin Perez, and Project Manager Kevin Mahl, they are building and designing one-of-a-kind custom homes across Southeastern Louisiana.
eNg is a robust, woman-led business in the construction industry. In less than five years, eNg Designs & Construction is succeeding in leaving a special legacy in the industry and community by building strong working relationships with a wide variety of businesses in the community such as lenders, vendors, and the best sub-contractors around.
Erika Hemphill has been a woman focused on a greater calling for nearly four decades, between building homes and community relationships. She is a Ponchatoula native, who attended Ponchatoula High and then graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University as one of the top five students in the business management department.
She was hired by Offshore Technical Compliance, an oil and gas regulatory compliance company, where she learned how to lead with excellence. This experience gave her optimal insight into the contracting world. She managed over 40+ employees, contractors, and projects, while simultaneously controlling multi-million dollar projects. And she succeeded. Her legacy as a woman in a male-dominated industry didn’t stop there. Adding her love for design and knack for strategic management, it was clear that opening her own business was the next step in her story.
Upon the arrival of her second child, she desired the flexibility to be both a supportive mother and successful businesswoman. Erika grew up watching her mother build two very successful businesses. This, coupled with the support of her husband, led to the decision to leap into entrepreneurship. Enter eNg Designs & Construction.
Her mother taught her the value of quality branding. This, paired with her keen eye for forward-thinking design, enables eNg to build authentic and unique custom homes. As a result, eNg continues to shine as the premier contract company in Tangipahoa Parish, always in high demand.
Now, she fills her team with people that share those same values and high expectations.
In less than five years, she is succeeding in leaving an extraordinary legacy in the industry and community. Erika states, “In 5 short years, I have genuinely exceeded everything I thought eNg would be plus more.”
To continue her growth and development in the home building industry, Erika joined the Northshore Homebuilder’s Association (NHBA) in 2020 and was immediately nominated and accepted as Secretary of the Board. She is now the Treasurer on the Board for the NSHBA where she enjoys the relationships, knowledge sharing, and industry impact she gains from being an active member.
At the beginning of 2021, eNg Designs & Construction completed their “Sunflower Project,” which was a tiny house provided to a deserving member of our community free of charge. This was made possible by Erika’s leadership combined with the generosity of the Northshore Homebuilder’s Association and a long list of local vendors and subcontractors that also donated their products and services.
Erika continues her community service by being a member of the Tangipahoa Parish Chamber of Commerce and the Hammond Downtown Development District. eNg Designs & Construction also pride themselves in supporting local schools and youth sports programs.
When Erika is not on-site or in the office, you can find her spending time with her family at the beach, at the ball field cheering on her son Kipten during the season, watching in wonder as daughter Aubrie grows leaps and bounds at dance and gymnastics class, taking advantage of the yummy local restaurants with her husband and friends., and attending as many concerts as possible! As her creativity is always flowing she draws inspiration from anywhere her feet may land.
In addition to husband and father, my role at eNg Designs & Construction is to manage the transformation from plans to reality.
I attended Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of Arkansas Sam Walton College of Business. I have combined 12 years of Operations Management experience in Transportation Logistics for two large corporations. My personal training and experience have led to phenomenal problem-solving and communication skills.
Although I have had success in both college and a corporate career, homebuilding allows me to enjoy hands-on work, outside of the office! Although my role has many challenges, I truly enjoy the feeling of accomplishment we receive at the completion of every project.
Jordin is a graduate of Delgado Community College, where she received her Associate’s degree in Business Management. A few years after college, she moved to Texas for a year but ultimately decided to move back home to Louisiana in 2018, where she worked as an administrator for an insurance company.
At eNg, Jordin serves as Erika’s Executive Assistant, or her “right-hand person” as Erika likes to call her. As Erika’s assistant, she handles all of her scheduling and email correspondence with parish officials, clients, and potential clients. Jordin also assists with client portfolios and details of their homes. Lastly, she keeps Erika’s busy schedule in line by scheduling all client appointments.
Outside of work, she spends most of her time with her daughter, working out, reading, and attending concerts.

Builder Members of Board
We are proud to announce that eNg has been elected to serve as members on the board of Northshore Home Builders Association!
The Northshore Home Builders Association was created in 2015 by the merger of the former St. Tammany Home Builders Association and the former Tangipahoa Home Builders Association. It is the third largest HBA in Louisiana with 800+ members. The NHBA is a non-profit organization that offers educational seminars for its members, participates in community sponsoring charity events and makes donations to local charities and organizations.
The Northshore Home Builders Association advocates professionalism and giving back to the local community. At eNg, we are excited to be an addition to an association with like-minded core values of our own. We are grateful for an opportunity to enrich the communities we serve by brining our innovative ideas and creative thinking along with us!
