eNg is trendy but unique. We are focused on professional services that are organized and transparent in all aspects of every project. An open line of communication with each client is our top priority throughout our projects. During your project, we offer one-on-one consultations that can be beneficial for our clients on an educational level and include financial reviews, coordinated bank loan preparations, realtor analyst and a closing attorney if needed for the sale of a home. These meetings build the relationship and trust that is needed for any project.
eNg takes our procurement process seriously. The bidding process with eNg is the longest process. We do not estimate on any line item. All sub-contractors will bid on the house plans as we have drafted them. Any line item where a client choose items there will be an allocation based on the client’s budget and design. All prices are locked in for a 15-day hold from the time of bid. Each client will receive a cost break down once contracts are signed.
We believe in total transparency. That is why we maintain flat-rates with zero hidden fees. For us, it’s more than providing a quality finished product – it’s your vision at an affordable price. Creating a positive, stress-free experience from start to finish also plays a huge role. While each project we complete is unique in its own way, the customer experience and journey remains the same – no matter how big or small your project is.

Who We Are
eNg is the newest local, boutique custom home builder. We are a one stop shop from start to finish, building custom quality homes at affordable prices on your lot or ours.
Erika is a local resident who was born and raised right here in Ponchatoula La. After graduating from Ponchatoula High she attended SLU for two short years before moving to Fayetteville, AR with her now husband and partner Garland Hemphill. While in Arkansas, Erika and Garland attended school and worked full time for Lindsey Management where they managed more than 100 luxury, golf course apartments.
The knowledge, work ethic and experience that Mr. Lindsey and staff showed them has stuck with both of them through every job venture. When returning home, Erika continued to manage local apartments until she was given the opportunity to work for a local non-profit in the Hammond area, as a Project Manager for numerous federal and state-funded budgets and employees. After five years, Erika decided to go back to Southeastern to complete her degree. Erika earned her Business degree with a concentration in Human Resource and was also chosen by the business department and staff as one of the top 5 business students at SLU.
Once she completed her degree, Erika began working for a local oil and gas company, Offshore Technical Compliance, based out of Covington, LA. The group of men and women that she worked with shaped her into the businesswoman, boss and entrepreneur that she is today. The coaching, training, freedom and strive for excellence that she was taught daily, showed her that if you want something, or have an idea about something, then you shouldn’t let anyone or anything stand in your way.
While at OTC, Erika was the Project Manager for all accounts, the marketing contact, and built an inspection tool for offshore inspection regulation with a partner in Houston. She also project managed the build out of OTC’s Offshore Oil & Gas classroom certification program.
eNg really came to life after many long conversations with family and friends on how much money she and Garland had saved through their own home-building process as they watched their friends and family pay so much more. With Erika’s background managing over 40+ employees, contractors, projects and a budget of over $2.5 million dollars combined with her love of design, building homes and managing the process from start to finish was a logical next step.
At eNg Designs and Construction, I will have the opportunity to provide assistance improving our customer’s experience.
I attended Southeastern Louisiana University and University of Arkansas’ Sam Walton College of Business. I have 10 years of experience in Operations Management of Transportation and Logistics. Customer Service is my greatest strength. My previous training and experience have led to phenomenal problem solving and communication skills.
Although I have had success in college and a professional career, homebuilding allows me to enjoy hands on work outside of the office, away from a desk! My father was a painter as well as an artist. I grew up around many different types of painting projects and painted professionally for multiple years throughout college. Thankfully, other than an exceptional work ethic, I received creativity and an artistic eye from my dad.
